Often combined with or immediately following a Recap Episode, in a lot of shows, the Beach Episode generally exists solely for the purpose of getting the cast into bathing suits, either for titillation or just because some people want to see what the characters' bathing suits look like. Sometimes the bathing suits can be Played for Laughs if they look similar to the characters' already-Limited Wardrobe's. For example, if Alice generally wears purple, expect her swimsuit to be purple too. In shows that small children can watch as well as the adults (therefore being child-friendly), they have a beach episode because the beach is typically considered fun. Sadly for the fanboys, beach episodes are usually (except for the romance genre in which it is part of the plot) considered extreme examples of filler and treated accordingly. Sometimes you'll meet the Surfer Dude here, and the Muscle Beach Bum. Also a good spot for a random Beauty Contest. Besides having a dip, characters may also hit the nets for a game of beach volleyball. Japanese works might also show them trying to smash a watermelon or two. And since people usually go barefoot at the beach to feel the sand and surf, shoes and socks are usually the first things to go. Even if the cast isn't changing into bathing suits, they'll probably shed their footwear at the very least to avoid being labeled a tourist like the derided "shoobie", so don't be surprised if this happens, and/or this sets up someone to step on something sharp or jagged while barefoot (often followed by a Green Aesop if that something happens to be a piece of beach litter). Also expect some Beachcombing and someone getting buried in sand.

Cousin to the Hot Springs Episode, which usually takes place in highlands. Often, the actual beach also gets replaced by a swimming pool. Also compare Palmtree Panic, which is when (usually) a single level of a video game takes place on a beach.

Note: It sometimes occurs that the Beach Episode is interrupted by the actual plot of the story. For example, the heroes are taking their well deserved beach trip when the villains decide to show up and cause trouble.

Once a year, the champ returns to the delight of hopamaniacs worldwide. A no-frills, pale malt base provides the backdrop for what is a showcase of hoppy deliciousness. Through first wort, kettle, whirlpool, and fermenter hop additions, we cram a heavyweight amount hop aromas and flavors into the beer. This beer won't be around forever, so we have to ask "Whatcha gonna do?"(Headband and tear-away tank top are optional, but highly encouraged.)

In December 1859, two families, numbering 16 people, returned to Pitcairn island in the brig Mary Ann, preferring the old to the new home. They found the island abounding in live stock, goats and fowls innumerable, sheep, and 52 head of cattle; the latter they unwisely destroyed.

In February 1864, 24 more people returned from Norfolk island; and in July 1884 the population numbered 130. In August 1889, the population numbered 125, comprising 58 males and 67 females, and in February 1896, when visited by H.M.S. Wild Swan, it amounted to 130. From 50 to 60 vessels besides missionary vessels now visit the island annually. The islanders appeared to be in fair condition and without any serious form of sickness, but' from their more frequent contact with the outer world have lost much of their primitive simplicity of character.

June 8, 1966 - One of the largest and most devastating tornadoes in U.S. history tore a long path through Topeka killing 16 people and injuring over 400. The tornado damages Billard airport, including Weather Bureau office, where people fled under tables for safety.

Many people are comfortable using the word alumni to refer to someone who was a student of a particular school. However, others feel quite strongly that this is an error and that the following forms should be used: alumnus (for one male), alumni (for multiple males, or for a mix of males and females), alumna (for one female), and alumnae (for multiple females). The shortened form alum and its plural form alums began to be used in the 19th century. Initially, alum was widely viewed as highly colloquial or informal, but is increasing in use as a gender-neutral alternative.

Kyuka Island is a tropical island with several buildings, including hotels. On the mountain in the center of the island, there is a large tree with an umbrella-shaped cup and a building on top. The islands architecture features many archways, balconies, and swimming pools.[1]

Sashihara pointed out Yamaki as her murderer by reddening one of her fancy nails with her lipstick, and showing it forward all the while clenching her fist : the fancy nail patterns are yellow stars, and the red on it indicates China, a country she knew well. She wanted people to understand that in China they count in another way, they can count up to 10 with a single hand. Sashihara's other hand actually shows a kind of gun-like shape, but it actually refers to the way Chinese people show the "8" figure. And it indicates the Kanji for "eight" in Yamaki's name.

Flashback ten years ago.Mary, Shuichi, Shukichi and Masumi are out on a beach in Japan. This is the first time Shuichi meets his little sister, Masumi. He shows a wound from a knife strike from Mary, due to a fight they had earlier that day. The reason for the fight was Shuichi's decison to join the FBI and see the truth behind the incident involving his father. He explains how he has found a good part-time job to live off on his own in America.Mary remarks how her husband told them in a mail to go to a safe country like Japan and think of him as dead as he got himself involved with some horrible people. Meanwhile, little Masumi tries her best to make Shuichi laugh. Upon Mary's remark to Masumi about getting chip salt under her nose, Yukiko, who is nearby, correctly deduces their home country, which is England. She enquires about having seen a little boy in green shorts, and moves ahead.

Seeing the car drown, Shuichi plunges into the water towards it. He notices that the driver, not having put the seat belt on, died on hitting the water and the passenger side window is fully open. He brings up the dead driver of the car to the shore along with a bag full of watches left on the backseat. He then tells Shinichi to go at the store selling swimsuits and look for any one dripping wet. He makes Ran tell Yukiko to call the police, and Masumi to ask the parking lot staff to look for any soaking wet person leaving the beach.

Rumi lives in a condominium. While entering her room, they spot a effluent woman banging on the neighbouring door. Rumi remarks about not knowing the neighbours very well. After repainting the tiger, Rumi serves them omelete rice. While having the meal, they hear loud sounds from the neighbouring room. Genta rushes into the room to complain, followed by the others, and ends up coming across Teigo and Kurumi lying on the floor. Teigo wakes up from the commotion and is shocked to see Kurumi lying beside him, her head in a pool of blood. Conan explains Kurumi is dead, due to a blunt weapon having hit her head. Haibara points out to Teigo that the letters 'I love you' are written across his cheek in red. He picks up a photograph fallen beside him, which shows a white-skinned hand writing on his cheek when he had fallen unconscious.

Rumi and the kids head to her room. Upon learning that Genta's hand smells of cosmetics, Conan remarks that the culprit is the pro-golfer. He comes across a reciept under the carpet, which lists grocery items bought in bulk quantities. Conan asks why Rumi took so long to arrive at the school that morning, to which she replies about having gone for grocery shopping.Takagi explains that other people in the condominium also noticed the strange lady, and she is seen in the CCTV footage of the elevator. Conan gets the clue to the case, when he notices Genta getting tiger stripes imprinted on his cheek from falling asleep on the painting, and from Haibara's attempt to write on her cheek with a permanent marker.

Yamashita remarks about how they had modeled the Cafe Poirot exactly as it is for a drama, even down to the size of the chairs and the tables. Anzai opens his laptop and decides to play the birthday video that Nagatsuka sent him. He asks Azusa for a power outlet to connect the laptop. But as soon as he connects it, all the lights in the cafe go off. Before Azusa could turn on the lights, Anzai's scream is heard. He is found lying on the floor, in a pool of blood. 2ff7e9595c
